Nathan's Story
2023 was a really bad year for me. Diagnosed with Severe Cervical Spinal stenosis. Lost everything when I became homeless(March). Even thought I'd lost my kids! It was horrible. Never been as depressed as I was last year.
Enter 2024: I have a job, even started my new position last week. I have a home to live in. I even have my own transportation! Its ugly, and it shakes, it rattles, but it rolls. So far everything is going good. Finally!
I want to thank Riverview Hope Campus, for taking me in and helping me to get where I am now. Thank you Sarha Payne, for gently pushing me, and trusting me, and for being a great friend. Thank you Elizabeth Escalante, for being there when I needed to talk about personal issues in my life, and helping me through the mental anguish. Thank you Wendy Brawdy and Chris Joannides, for seeing something in me that I could not. Thank you Nikki Hodges, for brightening my days. And thank the rest of my Hope Family(Harper Dewayne House, Kelly, Les, Troy, HustlinHugo Mendez, and the others. Because you have accepted me into the family.
Most of all, I thank my kids for not giving up on me.
I love you all
